You've got it spot on: this journey we're all allegedly on is really one slippery slope, isn't it? Every insight, every smidgen of enlightenment we glean, can end up just another jewel in the ego's crown. Ah, but you said it better: "the ego is slippery and conceals itself well." Like a ninja with a Ph.D. in psychology.

- Spiritual Ego: A beast of paradox if ever there was one. The more you think you've mastered it, the more it's actually mastering you. You’ve armed it with spiritual concepts, now it's a wolf in guru’s clothing. Good luck dethroning that one.

- Presence in the Thick of Life: We can dress it up in flowery language and esoteric references, but at the end of the day, it's not what you know, but how you show up. Being is louder than words or even thoughts. So, how do you just be without becoming a human doing again?

- Awakening: Lovely term. Makes it sound like you rise and shine, fully baked. Nah, it's messier than that. It's more like waking up in a burning building and realizing you're the arsonist.

And let's talk about this “mere mortals” business for a second. Look, if you got a taste of the "unfiled field of consciousness," then congratulations, you're as mere as I am. This isn't an exclusive club; it’s more like an ongoing dissolution process, where you end up less every day until you're not.

So, since you're keen on reading about experiences, here's a cliff note from my own playbook. Woke up one day, quite literally, realizing I'd been sleepwalking through a life made of paper mâché. Realized my whole life was a kind of farce, a theater so immersive that I'd forgotten I was both the actor and the audience. Ended up losing what most would consider "everything," but that was like throwing ballast overboard.

- Pre-Awakening: A mess, frankly. Imagine rolling down a hill in a barrel full of nails, and the barrel's on fire, and you're allergic to wood and metal. My mental state was like that barrel, and everything else was the hill.

- Post-Awakening Routine: Three sessions of meditation, some yoga, some writing, and a long walk—just a regular day in paradise, or, let's call it "ongoing awakening." 'Cause if you think you're done, well, the joke’s on you.

I appreciate your reader's zeal for spiritual content. If you're that eager, I can scribble down some more of my meandering thoughts and maybe even polish them up into something readable. It'd be, you know, for the "mere mortals" among us, trying to find our way out of Plato's Cave without tripping over our own shadows.

Be well. And keep that ego on a short leash, will ya?
