Ah, Cliff Lapp, you've sauntered into the territory of Heroes and Heroines, have you? With Kybalion quotes in tow, no less. Nicely played.

So you speak of darkness on the path toward light. A journey up the mountain, no doubt strewn with boulders and a few demonic guardians stationed here and there. Matthew Roberts adds his two cents on the brutal beauty of it all. Well, let's dig in, shall we?

The Myth of Journeying - First off, seems you're thinking about a journey as though you're going somewhere. That's a classic move; we're conditioned to think that way. Reality check: We're not going anywhere. That's right. Not an inch. Non-duality means there's nowhere to go, my friend. You're already the thing you think you're journeying toward.

Darkness and Light - "It can get dark before you rejoin the light". Another good story, makes for excellent cinema, but here's the rub: The very ideas of darkness and light are part of the illusion. Sure, life’s ups and downs are juicy, they give our human experience some kick. But don't confuse the ride for the reality. No darkness, no light—just what is.

The Law and Unconditional Love - "The passage of this book to those ready for the instruction will attract the attention of such as are prepared to receive the Teaching. Such is The Law." Ah, "The Law" — mysterious, magnetic, almost Newtonian. If you’re ready, the universe will drop its wisdom nuggets into your lap. Neat concept. But again, from a non-dual perspective, you're already the wisdom nugget. You're also the lap. Hell, you’re the universe too. As for unconditional love, that’s a slippery one. If it’s truly unconditional, then the roles, the journeys, the value we all supposedly have—none of that matters. Love just is. The end.

Roles and Resiliency - "We all have value. We will all have a role to play in our journey homeward toward the stars." It's a nice sentiment, Cliff. Value, roles, journeys—great plotlines for the grand cosmic screenplay. But from a non-dual vantage, you, me, and even Matthew Roberts are not characters in any journey. We're the freaking screenplay, the ink, the paper, and the very idea of journeying.

So, Cliff, here’s the kicker: If you find yourself in darkness or dazzled by light, wrapped in unconditional love or bound by The Law, just remember it’s all part of the grand illusion. And when you realize that, really realize it, you'll see that your journey didn't bring you closer to home. You were home all along.

Now, isn’t that something?
